Our Youth - your country needs you

There are a large minority of kids who have no purpose, discipline and respect for others. Most of all they feel that they have no future and it is for the good of our great country that we 'the general public' tax payers and hard working people, show a strong voice of concern for serious change NOW!
We have heard of many incentives in recent years, none of which have worked or even left the drawing board. Our suggestion is to introduce a programme of reform to all youths who fail to grasp any employment and who disregard the many opportunities of further education. There are many jobs in the UK for those who are willing to work!
These guidelines should apply to any person 18+ who lives in the UK regardless of their race, nationality, sex, sexual orientation, religion, beliefs or disability (noting that reasonable adjustments must be considered for disability).
Bring Back NATIONAL SERVICE IS THE PEOPLES WISH. Bring it back for young people who have no formal purpose in our society. Bring it back for a youth who are disaffected, demotivated and discontented. Bring it back to give young adults pride, determination and a sense of belonging. We respect young people who work hard in both employment and further education. We want the current generation to create a better society in the United Kingdom.

100,000 votes required to create a parliamentary debate and vote on bringing back a form of national service for youngsters who have no formal profession or who are not in any form of higher education.
Now is the time that we the UK public demand an end to the country wide demise of our youth. It is well documented that young people are systematically running riot in all walks of life, and have done so for many years!

Yeah, you're right, I probably couldn't hack it in the army. I've got this problem where I'm actually really good at using my slightly above average intelligence to think for myself and I can see that using my brain could get me into trouble if I was in the military. Maybe this is what you perceive to be my 'bad attitude'?
As the author of this site the point of this is not about UK military policy as we are not politicians but to bring back respect and discipline to our youth which served myself and my ex colleagues well in Bosnia, Gulf War, Kosovo etc Its about getting a good start and enjoying life and the Army can do that! I assume you couldnt hack the Army hence your attitude problem!
Honest thought: Get a life you bunch of sad twats. If you think that being in the military is such a good idea then why don't you use the energy that you put into your knee jerking over-reactions to get your fat arses out to Afghanistan or whichever unfortunate nation of brown people who's natural resources we happen to be robbing at the time and leave us the fuck alone.
There are too many of these bloody oiks in this country and I agree, a jolly good war ought to sort the blighters out! I'll be able to watch it all on the solid gold 92" TV set that I bought with the money that I got from selling my shares in Lockheed Martin. What spiffing fun it'll be! I didn't even have to touch my inheritance! Huzzah!
I suppose if you can't think of how to teach young people to survive in a rapidly changing world it's a great idea to turn them into gun fodder, teach them the sort of discipline that led to torture and murder in Iraq. What a great idea!

I saw that the 'social waste' as you say mate consisted largely of University students, Models, Professional workers and even a junior ambassador for the 2012 Olympics, all of which got 6 months in trap 1! It wouldn't work for everyone, just like it do-sent work for a lot of people who didnt want to join the army but were pressured by their parents to volunteer, or had no other means of employment. True about the gun scenario, however there are many different trades in the Army that dont require use of a weapon! You could argue that a lot of volunteers across the board are psychos anyway, and they have the use of weapons! I certainly think it would bring back some respect and also act as a kind of deterent, so people will try even harder to find employment or stay in further education to avoid such a draft! :-)
Hmm valid point that could be a tad dangerous for all concerned in which case the only choice is as I said before bring back capital punishment

Don't vote for this I say. Why think that dumping them in the military is the answer and that the military want them come to that.
Our Armed Forces are volunteers and respected professionals who are justifiably proud in what they do - its tantamount to disrecpecting the Armed Forces by dumping social waste on them. Rant over...

Brilliant idea!! even if serving a minimum term with a regiment, the training alone will instill a fair amount of discipline back into the young people of today....
At last someone with a good idea
feel this would really help our nation. The kids today NEED some form of discipline and this is a great oppertunity. It will allow them to have another view and possibly go on to earn a trade or give back to the society in some way.
Awesome idea, bring it on. No respect today and this will do the business for a lot of youngsters.
